Best of milan design week '13

The design journey of the year

Milan design week 2013 left quite a mark on us! It was all about the experience of patterns dancing with beautiful sounds in a choreography of synchronization. Just minutes before dancing we were sitting and reading a book under the 'most' designed lights, a perfect time to relax before moving quietly towards London's finest markets of crystal. Wearing our unique wooden hats, we entered fabulous landscapes and then faced East to read smoke signals and let Asia's sounds and smells in. Turning left towards Colombia we learned how artisans can make great things with recycled bottles. Eating in bowls, chosen from a totem made out of northern European sky color pallets and articulated by a collection of pottery, and drinking the "light" out of huge bottles, our appetite to cook grow stronger. Cooking almost resembled sculpting, a joyful time that intrigued us to alter our perception on how we create objects for the kitchen and got seriously inspired by bowl making out of meat chopping machine. Feeling flooded with ideas and experiences we looked up for more and we found inspiration hanging from the ceilings. Few  minutes later the Icelandic spirit, that brings together nature and design practice, passed as a wave trough our ears...
